SWM SM 500 R Supermoto with a nod to Fox & Supreme
Eye-Catching Neon Decals & A Load Of SWM AS3 Performance Parts
Taiwanese Supermoto rider - Thor Lin - took his SWM SM 500 R and totally changed the original colour scheme (which was red and black) and created this blue, red and neon yellow spectacle, with the theme based on a recent Fox and Supreme collaboration. Thor replaced a lot of the original hard parts with red and black anodised AS3 Performance parts - we have highlighted these below with pictures and product details.

Clutch Cover
Like with the majority of our customer's bike builds, one of the most popular parts to upgrade is the clutch cover. Thor has replaced the OEM cover with our Factory Series hard anodised clutch cover. These are CNC-machined from a solid block of billet aluminium and finished in black anodising. Designed for increased strength compared to the OEM clutch cover, it also gives the engine a refined, premium look. You can see from the pictures it really stand-out on the right hand side of the SM 500 R. This particular clutch cover also fits the SWM RS 300 R. Rear Brake Pedal & Gear Lever
Our rear brake pedal and gear lever combo has been fitted to replace the OEM brake pedal and gear lever. Manufactured from cold-forged aluminium, AS3 Performance rear brake pedals and gear levers deliver increased strength, while keeping weight to a minimum. The forging process provides greater flexibility than cast or CNC-machined alternatives, helping reduce the risk of snapping on impact. Each lever features a CNC-machined, spring-loaded tip, with knurled grooves on the gear lever and nine replaceable stainless-steel teeth on the brake pedal, for superior grip and long-term durability. As you can see, the red anodised tips on the rear brake pedal (pictured above) and the gear lever (pictured below) pop-out nicely against the silver engine casing.

Front Sprocket Guard
As you can see from the pictures above and below, the OEM plastic front sprocket guard has been replaced with our red anodised billet aluminium sprocket guard. Designed to bolt straight on using the supplied hardware, the red front sprocket guard fitted here is also available in black or yellow and will fit the RS 500 R, as well as the RS 300 R too. The red version chosen here for the SM 500 R compliments the other red anodised parts used in the build nicely.

Foot Pegs
The OEM foot pegs have been replaced with our supermoto foot pegs, which come supplied with replaceable black plastic sliders. Since their introduction a few years ago, these foot pegs have become one of the most popular additions to our product range. The red anodised finish pairs perfectly with the front sprocket guard. Our supermoto foot pegs are available for a wide range of models, including TM, Gas Gas, Honda, and Husqvarna. We currently offer seven different foot peg designs - including for motocross, enduro, trail, and adventure bikes, each engineered with specific features and materials. Rear Sprocket
Our rear sprocket has replaced the OEM rear sprocket. AS3 Performance 7075 aluminium rear sprockets are precision-engineered for AS3 by one of the world’s leading sprocket manufacturers. Proven by top riders on some of the toughest tracks worldwide, they deliver an ideal balance of strength, durability, and low weight. Each sprocket is CNC-machined from premium 7075-T6 aluminium and features self-cleaning grooves between every tooth, to help maintain consistent performance in demanding conditions. We offer our rear sprockets with 48T, 49T, 50T, 51T and 52T. Thor has fitted a red anodised 48T to his SM 500 R as you can see in the picture below. Additionally, we also stock a factory rear sprocket, which is favoured more by enduro riders, as it is constructed with an outer steel ring and an aluminium centre.

Chain Guide
Our red anodised aluminium chain guide has been fitted to match the rear sprocket nicely. This chain guide is CNC-machined from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminium to deliver exceptional strength and precision. Hard-wearing plastic inserts provide outstanding durability, helping prevent bending or buckling when compared to standard OEM guides. Designed to maximise chain protection in all riding conditions, this chain guide is also available anodised in black and fits the 2016–2020 SWM RS 300 R, RS 500 R and SM 500 R models.

Fuel Cap
Moving up to the rider's view, Thor has swapped the OEM plastic fuel cap for our red billet aluminium version. This has added another standout visual upgrade to the build. Our fuel caps are lighter and stronger than OEM alternatives, reducing the risk of leaks or splitting. Supplied with a compact breather pipe and aluminium vent, they offer far greater practicality than the long rubber tubes typically used on standard caps. The result is a neater, better-looking solution that also allows the cap to be removed quickly and easily. The one-way valve in the aluminium vent prevents dust from entering the fuel system for added protection and reliability.

Handlebar Clamps
Sticking with the red anodised theme, our handlebar clamps have replaced the OEM clamps. Designed to fit all 28.6 mm handlebars (fat bars), our clamps are CNC-machined from high-strength 6061 billet aluminium for durability and precision. They are easy to install with no modifications required and come complete with all necessary bolts for installation. The measurement from the base of the clamp to the end of the bolt is 75 mm, with a 33 mm threaded section at the end of the bolt. We also offer them in black for the SM 500 R.

What Other Parts Have Been Fitted To This SWM SM 500 R?
Thor has also fitted a few additional red anodised hard parts to continue the red theme of the build. Our steering stem nut can be seen between the handlebar clamps in the picture above which pops our really nicely compared to the standard aluminium stem nut. These are a great visual addition to the triple clamps on any motorcycle. Other small red hard parts that have been fitted include an oil filler plug, rear brake reservoir cover and clutch reservoir cover.
