Who Was Running AS3 Performance Parts At VMXdN 2026?
AS3 Parts On 2 Stroke MX Bikes At Hawkstone Park
VMXdN stands for Veterans (or Vintage) Motocross des Nations and it is a vintage mx festival featuring 2 stroke bikes from the 80's, 90's and 00's. Racing took place at the iconic Hawkstone Park track. AS3 Performance parts were used by some of the biggest teams racing there, as well as individual riders and we came across a few two strokes around the paddock fitted with our parts, also. Below we feature some of our parts spotted at VMXdN 2026.
Clutch Cover For The Fathead Racing Yamaha YZ 250
The Fathead Racing team was competing in the Wright Engineering team race at Hawkstone Park. Freddie Bartlett was racing a 2005 Yamaha YZ 250, Lennox Dickinson was racing a 2008 Suzuki RM 250 and Ty Kellet was on a 2006 Kawasaki KX 250. The team grabbed 2nd overall at VMXdN 2026. Below we picture Bartlett's YZ 250 race bike, as well as a close-up of our Factory Series clutch cover fitted.
YZ 250 Brake Lines
Our front and rear brake lines replaced the OEM brake lines on Freddie Bartlett's YZ 250. Produced by Venhill in the UK, they are a popular upgrade for any discipline, from motocross to enduro. The Fathead Racing team went with black to match the black look of the bike. Below is a picture of our rear brake line fitted.
Front Sprocket Guard On The YZ 250
Fathead racing fitted our black anodised front sprocket guard to Freddie Bartlett's YZ 250. Our versions, compared to the plastic OEM versions, provide significantly more protection to the front sprocket and chain; from mud, stones and debris when racing mx. It also catches the eye, as can be seen in the picture below.
Rear Brake Clevis On The Suzuki RM 250
Our black anodised rear brake clevis was fitted to all 3 Fathead Racing team bikes. Below we picture Lennox Dickinson with the Suzuki RM 250 and a close-up of the rear brake clevis fitted.
High Pressure Radiator Caps Fitted To All Fathead Racing Bikes
All 3 Fathead Racing 2 strokes were fitted with our high pressure radiator caps. We offer 3 versions - 1.6 BAR, 1.8 BAR and 2.0 BAR. The Fathead Racing team chose to run the 1.6 BAR radiator caps on their race bikes for the 2026 VMXdN. Ty Kellet's Kawasaki KX 250 is pictures below, along with a close-up of our high pressure radiator cap.
Titanium Foot Pegs For The Stolen Yamaha YZ 250
The Stolen Yamaha Team had 3 riders on YZ 250's - Jamie Keith, Bobby Bruce (both pictured below) & Eddie Wade; the latter being a last minute replacement for the injured Carson Brown. They were also competing in the Wright Engineering Team Race and this year's team won the trophy for the 2nd year in a row. Below we showcase some of the parts fitted to the team's Yamaha YZ 250's, starting with our titanium foot pegs.
YZ 250 Holeshot Device
All 3 Stolen Yamaha Team YZ 250's were fitted with our holeshot devices. Check out our video of a mechanic testing the holeshot device in the paddock on Eddie Wade's 250cc 2T between races. The team ran our black versions on all of their bikes, as pictured below.
Rear Brake Clevis For The YZ 250
Our black anodised rear brake clevis replaced the OEM versions on all Stolen Yamaha Wright Engineering Team Race bikes for the 2026 VMXdN. Below, we picture the rear brake clevis fitted to Carson Brown's Yamaha YZ 125. The Stolen Yamaha team used a a number of our parts; including various seal kits, repair kits and bearing kits - we will write an in-depth blog detailing all the parts used in their bike builds for the VMXdN, shortly.
Silicone Radiator Hoses On The Honda CR 250 & CR 500
We spotted a few of our silicone radiator hoses fitted to various mx 2 strokes over the VMXdN weekend. Team Isle of Man's Jamie McCanney was running our hoses on his Honda CR 250 and CR 500, whilst his brother was running them on his KTM 380 SX. Along with Max Ingham, who was racing a YZ 250, the 3 man team finished third overall in the Wright Engineering team race. Below are pictures of Jamie McCanney's Honda CR 500 and a close up of our black silicone radiator hoses fitted and also a picture of his CR 250 plus a close up of our blue silicone radiator hoses fitted.
Front Brake & Clutch Levers For The Ozmo MX Yamaha YZ 250s
The Ozmo Motorsport MX Team; headed up by Craig Osmond, ran our forged front brake and clutch levers on their Poole Yamaha tribute YZ 250 race bikes. The team consisted of Jamie Carpenter, Josh Vail and Lewis Trickett, who competed in the Wright Engineering team race. The bikes looked fantastic with a nod to the original Poole Yamaha colours from the 90's. Below is a picture of Josh Vail's Yamaha YZ 250 plus a close up of our front brake lever fitted.
YZ 250 Fuel Caps
The Ozmo team ran our blue anodised fuel caps on all three of their YZ 250 2 strokes, in-keeping with the blue Poole Yamaha tribute theme. As you can see from the close up picture below, they were a nice edition, adding to that factory look.
Radiator Caps On All Ozmo's YZ 250s
Our high pressure radiator caps are extremely popular for many motocross, enduro and supermoto riders. The Ozmo mx team used our 1.8 BAR options on all 3 race bikes at VMXdN 2026 and there is a close-up of one below.
Foot Pegs For The Honda CR 250
Another rider & team to use our titanium foot pegs was Anthony Rodriguez (A-Rod), who was racing for the MTF team in the VMXdN International Race, on a 2006 Honda CR 250. A-Rod grabbed a P3 in the final International race of the weekend and there is a picture of his 250cc 2T and a close-up of our titanium pegs fitted, below.
Honda CR 250
James Kensington was racing in the Evo Open Class at VMXdN Hawkstone Park on his 1989 Honda CR 250, where he podiumed with a 3rd overall. He was running our silicone radiator hoses and rear brake line and you can see his bike plus close up pictures of the AS3 Performance parts below.
1991 Kawasaki KX 125
We spotted a Kawasaki KX 125 from 1991 fitted with our blue silicone radiator hoses. Here it is below with also a close up picture of one of the hoses.
