KTM 500 EXC-F Supermoto

White Plastics, Black Graphics & Loads Of AS3 Performance Parts

What do you do if you feel like you don't have enough power from a KTM 450 SMR? You convert the 500 EXC-F to full supermoto spec, and while you're at it, why not make it a little bit different. Swiss bike builder and content creator, Hendrik Koller (@hendrik.exc), took his 2023 KTM 500 EXC-F Enduro bike right back to KTM's original roots by removing the OEM orange plastics and replacing them with 1980's inspired white plastics and then gave it a modern twist by adding some custom black and white graphics and a range of AS3 Performance parts. The difference of the finished bike compared to the original is unbelievable and below we highlight the AS3 Performance parts used in the build.

Clutch Cover & Water Pump Cover

In the picture below, you can see the OEM clutch cover and water pump cover on the KTM 500 EXC-F have been replaced with our black anodised, billet aluminium Factory Series clutch cover and water pump cover. Not only are they stronger than the OEM parts as they are CNC machined from a solid block of billet aluminium, but they also transform the look of the engine and fit in perfectly with the black and white frame, graphics and wheels. Rear Brake Pedal & Gear Lever

The bike has our Factory Series rear brake pedal installed which has a matt black anodised finish with a grey tip, these are supplied as a set complete with the gear lever and again are a perfect match for the colour scheme of the 500 EXC-F supermoto. We know that levers can be very much a personal preference so we also have a another option available which has a spring loaded flexible tip instead of the fixed tip on the Factory Series lever. Replacement tips in a selection of colours and oversized tips are also available for all of our rear brake pedals allowing you to customise your bike to suit your needs or style. Foot Pegs

As you can see below, the bike is fitted with our supermoto foot pegs, which have been a really popular addition to our range of parts for supermoto bikes since we developed them a few years ago. The anodised black finish looks perfect with the black and white colour scheme of the bike. These foot pegs are available for many more bikes including Husqvarna, GasGas, Honda and TM. They come complete with plastic sliders that are replaceable when they get worn down. We stock a total of 7 different types of foot pegs for various supermoto, motocross, enduro, trail and adventure bikes, all with different features and manufactured from different materials. Oil Filter Cover

Another upgrade to the left hand side of the engine is the addition of our AS3 Performance oil filter cover. This part is again anodised in black which looks great against the CMT Compositi carbon parts that have also been installed on the bike. We also offer this part in an anodised orange option for the KTM models, plus blue and red as the same part will also fit the Husqvarna and Gas Gas models. Many customers will also pair this up with one of our oil pump covers as they are on the same side of the engine. Our billet aluminium oil filler plugs are also other popular engine accessory. When combined, all these small details can make a big visual improvement to the engine, as well as offering better protection for the vital internal parts.

Handlebar Clamps & Clutch Reservoir Cover

The picture below continues the black and white theme of the bike. You will notice our black anodised billet aluminium handlebar clamps, which look great against the black handlebar and triple clamps. These clamps are also available in orange and we also have a couple of different hight options, one being 10mm higher and another 10mm lower. The bike is also finished off with our black steering stem nuts. Towards the left corner of the picture you will also notice that the Brembo clutch master cylinder has our CNC machined aluminium clutch reservoir cover installed, again with the black anodised finish. These are also available in many other colour options as the Brembo master cylinder can also be found on various Husqvarna, Gas Gas, Beta and Sherco models.

Front Brake Reservoir Cover

To match the clutch reservoir cover the bike has also has our black anodised front brake reservoir cover installed on the right hand side of the handlebars, finishing off the look of the rider's view nicely. Our reservoir covers are an extremely popular product, as they really improve the look compared to the OEM covers that are fitted on the bike as standard. We have reservoir covers available in a range of colours, for all makes and models of motorcycle. Many customers choose to match them up with our rotating bar clamps to complete the look.

Fuel Cap Breather Vent

In the photo below you can see that the OEM rubber breather hose has been replaced with one of our one-way fuel cap breather vents. This is a much neater and better looking alternative to the OEM rubber hose and also allows the fuel cap to be unscrewed easier and quicker. The aluminium vent has a one-way valve preventing dust from entering the fuel system and we have them available in a range of colours. This vent also comes as standard on many of our fuel caps including the billet aluminium version that we do for the KTM 500 EXC-F.
