Billy Bolt wins World SuperEnduro For 6th Time
FIM SuperEnduro Round 6 Newcastle UK - Prestige Class Results & Race Bikes
We were lucky enough to be at round 6 of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship at the weekend, supporting Fast Eddy Triumph's Harry Edmondson who was racing the TF 250-X. Even though it was only the penultimate round of the championship, we witnessed Billy Bolt clinch his 6th consecutive World Championship in Newcastle, at "home", under the Utilita Arena lights - due to the domination of the Husqvarna man over the SuperEnduro season. Below we give an event breakdown of the top 5 Factory riders in Newcastle, with pictures and details about their race bikes. We also give details about Harry Edmondson's evening on the Triumph and have a link to an extended highlights video of the Prestige Class in Newcastle - including the SuperEnduro paddock, SuperPole and race action from all 3 races.

Billy Bolt #57 - Husqvarna Factory Racing - FE 350
After topping SuperPole, Husqvarna's Billy Bolt maintained strong pace and consistency across all three Prestige class races, demonstrating his trademark speed and control on the technical indoor track. With enough points secured - including victories in Races 1 and 3 - Bolt claimed the overall win (plus the 2026 Championship) on the night from Jonny Walker and Mitch Brightmore. Billy Bolt competes on a FE 350 four stroke for SuperEnduro. The bike is powered by a 349.7cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, tuned for strong mid-range torque and smooth throttle response via electronic fuel injection. Its chrome-moly steel frame is matched to WP XACT-PRO 48mm front forks and a WP XACT rear shock, fully adjustable for tight, technical indoor tracks. A close-ratio six-speed gearbox and Brembo hydraulic clutch deliver sharp acceleration and control, while lightweight wheels, SuperEnduro-specific tyres and high-performance disc brakes provide grip and stopping power on mixed surfaces. For indoor competition, the FE 350 runs shortened gearing, added protection like a rear brake disc guard and skid plate, reinforced components and race-ready lightweight parts - creating a balanced package of power, agility and durability that suits Bolt’s precise, aggressive riding style.

Jonny Walker #22 - Triumph Factory Enduro Team - TF 450-E
Despite competing with a hand injury, Walker continued his strong 2026 season by securing his fifth podium result of the championship with a 2nd overall in Newcastle. He began the night with a P3 in SuperPole. In Race 1, he battled into 2nd place after a tight fight upfront. Following a reverse‑grid start in Race 2, he moved up to lead and then win the race. He finished strong in Race 3 with a P3 finish, cementing his P2 overall. With this result, Walker retains 2nd place in the championship standings with one round to go. Jonny Walker’s Triumph TF 450-E that he raced in Newcastle was a factory-prepared SuperEnduro bike, based on the standard 2026 TF 450-E platform. It featured a 449.9 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine producing around 57.8 hp, with a 6-speed gearbox and wet clutch, paired with 13/51 final drive gearing. The aluminium frame and swingarm supported KYB adjustable suspension. Braking came from 260 mm front and 220 mm rear Galfer discs with Brembo calipers, while the tyres were 90/90‑21 front and 140/90‑18 rear.

Mitch Brightmore #12 - X-Grip GasGas Racing Team - EC 300
The X-Grip GasGas Racing Team man put in one of his strongest performances of the season, starting off with P2 in the SuperPole. In the first Prestige race he finished P3 behind Billy Bolt and Jonny Walker and he followed this up with a P2 in the second and third races to grab 3rd overall on the night. He has firmly cemented his 3rd overall for the World Championship, with 1 race to go and continues to grow stronger in the SuperEnduro discipline. Brightmore's GasGas EC 300 - the enduro platform he races in SuperEnduro - is powered by a 293cc (72 x 72 mm) single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine with Keihin electronic fuel injection, electric start, a six-speed wide-ratio gearbox and DDS wet multi-disc hydraulic clutch, driving through a 520 X-Ring chain. With approximately 354 mm of ground clearance, a 1,489 mm wheelbase, 956 mm seat height, 9-litre fuel tank and a dry weight just under 108 kg, the EC 300 provides a lightweight, high-torque base that X-Grip further refines with race-specific suspension, clutch, gearing and brake upgrades for the demands of indoor SuperEnduro competition.

Ashton Brightmore #7 - X-Grip GasGas Racing Team - EC 300
Riding for the same team as his older brother; Mitch, Ashton is just slightly behind at the moment, but has shown he is capable of mixing it with the big boys at World level. Racing exactly the same GasGas EC 300 as his brother, Ashton put in a solid performance in the stacked prestige class, just off the pace of the top 3 and securing fourth overall for the event.

Eddie Karlsson #42 - Stark Future Team - Stark Varg EX
Eddie Karlsson on the Stark Varg EX delivered a strong performance in the Prestige class, as he has done all season. In Prestige Race 1, Karlsson came home in P5. In Race 2, he finished P4 and in Race 3, Karlsson rounded out the night with another P5 finish, gving him 5th overall and again, closely battling with the World's top SuperEnduro riders on a technical track. Karlsson scored valuable championship points in Newcastle, contributing to his 4th place in the World Championship standings with 1 round to go. The Stark VARG EX is an all-electric enduro machine built around a high-strength steel frame with long-travel KYB suspension (around 300 mm front and rear) and Brembo hydraulic disc brakes (260 mm front, 220 mm rear). Its electric PMAC motor delivers up to around 80 hp in the high-output configuration, backed by a 7.2 kWh honeycomb magnesium battery that typically recharges in 1–2 hours and provides a versatile range depending on use. The bike uses a single-speed drivetrain and weighs around 120 kg (264 lb) in standard form, with suspension, tyres and other components adjustable for aggressive off-road or indoor enduro conditions. The Stark VARG platform is highly tuneable, with power delivery, regeneration and engine braking settings configurable via onboard electronics, making it competitive against internal combustion bikes when prepared for SuperEnduro events under the class’s electric power and weight limitations.

Harry Edmondson #16 - Fast Eddy Triumph - TF 250-X
Harry delivered a consistent performance across all three races in the Prestige Class, finishing P11 in each race to collect valuable championship points against a stacked field of elite riders. His combined results earned him 11th overall in the Prestige standings for the round, adding solid momentum to his 2026 championship campaign, despite narrowly missing the top ten. Harry uses the SuperEnduro as a stepping stone to the EnduroGP World Championship, which will start in April. Edmondson’s SuperEnduro race bike for the 2026 season is based on Triumph’s TF-series off-road machine from the Fast Eddy Racing / Triumph programme. The base model TF 250-X (closely related to the TF 250-E and TF 250-X family) features a 249.9 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine with EFI, a six-speed gearbox and hydraulic wet multi-disc clutch, paired with aluminium chassis and swingarm, KYB suspension with around 300 mm travel front and rear, and 21″/18″ wheels with Brembo/Galfer brakes. Harry runs our Factory Series clutch cover, silicone radiator hoses, front brake and rear brake master cylinder covers and our DTC plastic rear brake disc guard, the latter providing essential protection for racing SuperEnduro.
