Launch harder and keep the front planted out of the gate. AS3 Holeshot Devices temporarily compress the forks so weight shifts forward, helping reduce wheelies and maximise drive until you brake into Turn 1 then the device releases and the forks return to normal. 

Each unit is CNC-machined (6061 billet aluminium), offered in multiple colours and fitments for major MX brands, and backed by a 12-month manufacturing warranty. Fitment typically requires drilling the fork guard; check the product notes for your bike.

What does a holeshot device do, and how does it help my starts?

It locks the forks in a compressed position for the launch, shifting weight forward to keep the front down and help you accelerate harder. When you brake for the first turn, it releases and the forks return to normal travel.

Will it fit my bike?

Yes, AS3 offers model-specific kits for all major MX brands (Honda, KTM, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Husqvarna, Husaberg). Choose your manufacturer page and select the correct year/model from the product list

Do I need to drill my fork guard to install it?

In most cases, yes, the latch/button mounts through a drilled hole in the fork guard (location depends on model). Check the product page for the exact spec and ID.

Where should I position the catch, any setup tips?


Mount height varies by model and rider preference. Start with the position recommended on the product page, ensure the fork can latch cleanly at the gate, and verify it releases under braking before race use. Keep the mechanism clean so it doesn’t foul with mud.
