AS3 Performance Weekly Round Up #28

AS3 Performance Bike Of The Week

2024 Husqvarna TC 125 with a lengthy list of upgrades

We start our Weekly Round Up this week with another Bike Build from Veteran MX Racer, Mark Gerloff (@papagerloff), over in the States. Since heavily upgrading a 2023 Kawasaki KX 450 SR, Mark has now done the same with a 2024 Husqvarna TC 125 and the results are great! Mark has installed a range of AS3 Performance parts to upgrade the performance and look of his two-stroke. You can view a video walk-round of the upgraded bike here and we have detailed the build in photos, below:

Mark has fitted our Factory Series foot pegs, anodised in Blue. These foot pegs, as well as our Racing Series foot pegs, are very popular with our mx riders, as they are wider and lighter than the OEM foot pegs. The foot pegs come in a variety of colours and feature a 60mm wide platform with a stainless steel 60 teeth plate, giving a better grip and much larger surface area than the OEM foot pegs. They also feature a rubber pad under the teeth plate, to eliminate vibration!

The OEM gear lever has been replaced with our black anodised, cold forged gear lever, which is less susceptible to snapping upon any impact. The process of cold forging means they are much less brittle than the cast OEM levers. With a range of tip-colours available, Mark has gone for a blue tip as an added stand-out feature.

On the other side of the bike, Mark has replaced the OEM rear brake pedal with our factory series version, choosing a blue tip. Other stand-out features to be fitted include the blue water pump cover and the blue oil filler plug, shown in the photo below.

On the front and rear wheels, Mark has upgraded the OEM brake discs to our high performance, premium quality, hardened steel versions. We have recently added brake discs to our product range and they are available for all bike brands.

Blue anodised wheel spacers have been installed on the front and rear wheel, providing a big visual upgrade and a factory look. Additionally, the OEM rear sprocket has been replaced with one of our blue aluminium rear sprockets. Designed for maximum strength and minimum weight, they are up to 50% lighter than the OEM steel rear sprocket! We also stock rear sprockets in black for Husqvarna motorcycles.

Moving to the rider's view of the bike and rider's controls, Mark has replaced the plastic OEM fuel cap with our blue, CNC machined aluminium version, which comes complete with one-way breather vent.

The brake lines on Mark's TC 125 have been upgraded from the rubber OEM brake hoses to our AS3 Performance by Venhill stainless steel braided brake lines. Featherlite AS3 Performance throttle cables have also replaced the OEM throttle cables. These are described as "featherlite" because they have a teflon inner liner which is designed to reduce friction inside the cable, allowing for smoother throttle operation. As can be seen from the photos below, Mark chose blue for all cable upgrades and they provide a nice stand-out visual upgrade.

The final photo below shows our forged black front brake and clutch levers that Mark has fitted as direct replacements for the OEM levers. These are very popular with our motocross and enduro riders. With a black anodised finish and red adjuster, the latter feature marries to the red graphics on Mark's bike nicely.

The bikes controls have been finished off with our blue anodised front brake and clutch reservoir covers. We sell a lot of these for all brands of bike and in a variety of colours, as they provide such a big visual upgrade to the bike.

Our youngest supported rider; Ollie Hain, competed in the Scottish Motocross Championship Winter Series and came away with 3rd overall in the auto class.
