AS3 Performance Weekly Round Up #24

Jonny Walker On The Podium Again

2024 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, Round 2, Krakow, Poland, 9th December

It was another 2nd overall for our supported Enduro star; Jonny Walker, at the weekend. Husqvarna's Billy Bolt took the overall win again, but he didn't have it all his own way - In round 2, on a fairly technical track, it very close between Beta's Walker and Bolt in all 3 races, the top two riders really showing their class.

Race 1

Billy Bolt just edged the holes hot from Jonny Walker, the two British riders pulling away from the rest of the field, with the 300 RR of Walker glued to Bolt's back wheel. It was only when catching the back-markers that Bolt managed to pull a little distance on Walker for the race 1 win. Walker took a commanding 2nd, with Beta's; Will Hoare, rounding out the top 3. Hoare managed to pass KTM's Mani Lettenbichler and Rieju's Dominik Olszowy towards the end of the race, kicking on from his strong performance in the first round in France.

Race 2

With a reversed grid start, it was Walker who was the quickest through the pack from the 2nd row, catching and passing GasGas's early leader; Mitch Brightmore. Bolt was uncharacteristically stuck in the pack for longer than usual and only caught up to Walker when the Beta man went down briefly on the last lap. However, because Walker had a good gap over Bolt, he got up and crossed the line in 1st place - it's been a long time since Bolt has been beaten and the crowd acknowledged this! Rounding out the podium again was Beta's Will Hoare.

Race 3

Going into the final race, it was all or nothing for Walker and Bolt. Husqvarna's Bolt made a bold statement and took his second hole shot of the evening, followed by Walker and Rieju's Olszowy. Walker managed to stay within 2 seconds of Bolt the whole race, both British riders pulling away from the rest of the field yet again. Jonny couldn't quite get close enough though, settling for 2nd in the race and 2nd overall for the GP for the second round in a row. Another win for Bolt and KTM's Mani Lettenbichler rounded off the top 3 for his first podium of the Championship. However, with Will Hoare claiming 4th in race 3, the British Beta rider yet again claimed 3rd overall, stating a strong claim that he can be a serious contender for a World Championship top 3 at the end of the season! The podium was a carbon copy of the first round and an all British one. Congratulations to our supported rider; Jonny Walker and the other British lads.

Jonny gave his thoughts on round 2: "I felt like I had strong pace, I didn’t make too many mistakes... Second overall again but I’m looking forward to Germany, especially after beating Billy in one of the races tonight... We had some nice battles and it’s always fair racing between us two, plus it was a nice show for the fans... The track was difficult but it was really good fun... I can go into the Christmas break feeling good".

The next round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship is in Germany on 6th January 2024. We look forward to seeing how Jonny goes there.

Other Supported Riders News

Our supported Junior Enduro rider; Jacob Bragg, won his class at the edge off road winter series event at Ripon, on his GasGas MC 85 at the weekend. Jacob took the hole shot and led the whole race, even putting an extra lap on the 2nd placed rider. Well done to Jacob on a very strong performance!

At the same event, another of our supported Junior Enduro riders; Jay Codling, was competing on his Beta 125 RR for the first time. Jay was leading his class until a trapped chain put paid to his race and he had to DNF unfortunately. Well done to Jay regardless and we look forward to seeing what he can do on the 125 in the future.

AS3 Performance 2024 Parts Update

2024 Motocross and Enduro Parts

We are currently in the process of updating our website to include parts for the 2024 bikes and also identifying any new parts that we need to develop for the new 2024 models. This will be ongoing over the next few weeks and we hope to have the majority of this completed for the start of the new year.

We will also be refining our current fitment details on the website by including some new models that haven't previously been listed in the 'Will Fit' section of the product descriptions on our site, including the Beta RX 300 motocross bike parts and the Husqvarna Heritage range from 2023.

In the early stages of the 2024 update, we have noticed some changes to the KTM, Husqvarna and Gas Gas 50cc and 65cc models. Husqvarna have also introduced the 'Pro' version of the TE 300 and FE 350. Gas Gas have introduced 2 new models with the ES 350 and ES 500 and the Yamaha WR 450 F and YZ 450 FX now have the same updates as the 2023 YZ 450 F.

It will take some time for this update to be completed, but in the meantime if you have a 2024 bike and you can't find what you are looking for on our website, feel free to reach out to our customer service team and we will be happy to help you.
