AS3 Performance Supported Enduro Rider Nieve Holmes - 2023 Season Review 

This was our fourth season sponsoring women's Enduro star; Nieve Holme's, supporting her with parts for her Sherco SE-F 300 R. Nieve had an incredible season in 2022 - winning the FIM European Enduro Championship, as well as the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) with Team GB! In 2023, she competed in the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, the FIM Electric Bike World Championship, as well as representing Great Britain in the ISDE, as part of the 3 woman team. Below, we have reviewed another outstanding season for Nieve.

2023 FIM EnduroGP World Championship

This was Nieve's first season competing in the World Championship, having stepped up from competing in the European Enduro Championship, last year. Her 2023 season kicked off with the EnduroGP in Italy for round 1, before heading to Scandinavia for rounds 2 & 3, in Finland & Sweden respectively. The final round took place in Portugal. Nieve finished 6th overall for the season, a fantastic result for Nieve's first World Championship! Nieve said of her season, "I’m happy with the progress made throughout my first full season in the World Championship, gaining experience on a variety of tracks and terrains, posting competitive test times and edging closer to that podium with my best result of the year being a 4th place". We look forward to seeing Nieve on the podium next season!

2023 FIM Electric Bike World Championship

"A new opportunity arose for me this year, racing in 2 rounds of the FIM Electric World Championship in France and Sardinia! A Team Event with one female and one male per team, racing head to head on electric bikes, against other teams on a short dual lane style track which included obstacles, MX jumps & FMX ramps! A fantastic experience dipping my toes into the electric scene finishing 7th and 4th overall against some amazing riders from around the world!". 2023 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE)

Nieve's final race of the year was the ISDE, over in San Juan, Argentina. She had the honour of representing Team GB in the Women’s Trophy Team for the fourth time in her career. Nieve said of this year's event - "It was "mentally and physically challenging, 5 x 8hr days on a bike in 50 degree heat, with Day 6 being a Motocross race, just finishing the event is an achievement in itself. Unfortunately on Day 1, both my teammates DNF’d and were unable to start the next day due to the heat, so I was the Lone Ranger for the remainder of this long week! I had to dig deep, but had a strong result each day and was proud to finish 7th in the World and rewarded with the gold medal".

Huge congratulations to Nieve on a great result, considering the conditions and losing her team members (Emily Hall & Libby Tett) so early! The 3-woman GB Team couldn't retain the title that they won last year, unfortunately, but we are immensely proud of Nieve and the team. For 2023 as a whole, Nieve had another brilliant season and all of us at AS3 Performance congratulate her on her achievements.

Nieve's insights on the AS3 Performance Parts she used this season

Like last season, Nieve ran a number of our parts on her Sherco SE-F 300 R, including, rear brake disc guard, rear sprocket, forged front brake & clutch levers, forged gear lever & rear brake pedal, silicone radiator hoses, front & rear brake reservoir covers, as well as a clutch master cylinder cover, to name but a few.

Nieve's goals for the 2024 Enduro Season

Nieve plans to compete in the FIM EnduroGP World Championship again, the ACU British Enduro Championship and ACU British Cross Country Championship and hopes to represent Team GB at the ISDE for the 5th time. We look forward to supporting Nieve again next season and to see what 2024 has in store for her. We will hopefully see her on that podium again!
