AS3 Performance Weekly Round Up #18

Jonny Walker Races AMA EnduroCross Back To Back

2023 AMA EnduroCross Championship, Rounds 3 & 4, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 27th & 28th October

Jonny Walker's phenomenal winning streak unfortunately came to an end at Round 3 in Idaho. Our supported Beta rider still managed 2nd overall, however, in the first of the doubleheader rounds on the Friday. He followed this up on the Saturday with a 4th overall, just missing out on a podium for the first time in 4 rounds.

Round 3, Friday 27th Oct

After two poor rounds by his standards (coming 5th overall at Round 1 & 2), it was FMF KTM Factory Racing rider; Trystan Hart, who was top of the box at Round 3. The Canadian showed the form we were used to seeing in 2022, to earn his first victory of the 2023 campaign. Over the 3 races, he took a fairly dominant 1,2,1. Walker went 2, 4, 3 on his Beta 300 RR, with FactoryOne Sherco's Cody Webb going 5, 3, 2, for 3rd overall.

Round 4, Saturday 28th Oct

Trystan Hart continued his fine form from the previous evening and took the overall Win again. Over 3 races, the KTM rider went 1,2,2, with Sherco's Cody Webb grabbing 2nd overall with a 2, 3, 1, going one position better than the previous night. Husqvarna's Colton Haaker took the last spot on the podium with a 4,1,4. Walker, with a 6, 4, 3, grabbed 4th overall and 18 points added to his Championship lead.

Even though the last round's result was below Jonny Walker's high standards, he still took away a decent haul of points. With two rounds to go, Jonny has 103 points, leading the EnduroCross series by 11 points over Trystan Hart and Cody Webb, who are both on 92 points. Well done to Jonny and we wish him the best of luck for Round 5; on 11th November in Redmond, Oregon.

MX Supported Rider News

Cumbrian Ry Waggott wrapped up the 2023 Scottish Championship 125cc Class on his KTM 125 SX at the weekend. He won the final round at Clayshant with a 2,1. Congrats to Ry and we look forward to supporting him in 2024!

Also racing the final round at Clayshant was Scottish Auto Class rider, Ollie Hain. Ollie came 7th overall on what was a difficult, sloppy track for his KTM 50 SX. That gave him 7th overall for the Championship in his first year of racing. Well done Ollie! We also look forward to supporting him in 2024 and beyond!

The bike has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. As you can see from the photo above, the engine casings have been fully refurbished and the frame, swing arm, kick start lever, cylinder head and water pump cover have all been painted black to match the black colour scheme, with a small selection of green parts added to the KX 125. The subtle green features on the bike include our billet aluminium front and rear brake reservoir covers, green anodised rear axle blocks and a fuel cap breather hose with a green anodised vent.

Cole has also installed an AS3 Performance rear brake pedal to the KX 125, complete with with our black anodised rear brake clevis. Other performance upgrades include the Pro-Circuit exhaust and a set of aluminium radiators.
