
1995 Honda CR 125 R In "Berkshire High School" Purple
Custom Honda CR 125, Restored To Raise Money For High School Softball Team
The original 1995 Honda CR125 R was a standout model in the golden era of two-stroke motocross - it was an intense "nuclear red" and "shasta white" combo, with a purple seat and fluorescent graphics. When William Wonders over in America sent through pictures of his predominantly purple 1995 CR 125 build, we were naturally very excited. He completely rebuilt a lot of the bike and the only similarity to the original look is the purple seat and CR fluorescent graphics! We have found out that the colour-scheme was a nod to Berkshire School's colours and he built the bike to raffle off and raise money for their Girl's Softball programme. The majority of AS3 Performance parts used in the build were bearing kits and rebuild kits, but he also added a couple of blue details, including our front brake reservoir cover and front brake line clamp. He finished the build off with our kick start lever. We will detail all of our parts used on the CR 125 R build below.
Kick Start Lever
The original silver-coloured kick start lever has been replaced with our black kick start lever. All of our kick start levers are forged from premium quality 7075 aircraft-grade aluminium, providing exceptional strength and durability. Each lever has a strong steel knuckle that is precisely machined for a perfect fit on the kick start shaft. The tip features forged grooves for maximum grip and control. This particular lever will fit the 1987-1997 CR 125 motocross bikes and for anyone who wishes to keep the look as close to the OEM version as possible, we also offer the kick start lever in silver.

Front Brake Master Cylinder Cover
Our front brake master cylinder covers (also known as reservoir covers) are CNC-machined from billet aluminium to ensure precise fitment with the master cylinder. Each cover is anodised for enhanced corrosion resistance and durability and finished with a laser-etched AS3 Performance logo. Designed as a direct replacement for OEM covers, they provide both functional protection and a refined visual upgrade. For most Honda motocross bikes, we offer them in red, black and blue, with the latter being chosen for this CR 125 build. We possibly would have chosen black if it was our build, but we can see that the blue detail makes another small statement on top of the purple on William's build!

Front Brake Line Clamp
The original front brake line clamp has been replaced with our blue anodised, CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminium version. Our front brake line clamps are designed for easy installation and removal, come with mounting bolts and provide a firm and precise clamp to the fork guard. Available in red, black and blue, any colour enhances the look at the front end and this blue version, like the front brake reservoir cover, is a great additional detail on top of the purple. These clamps will fit the 1990-2003 CR 125 as well as the CR 250.

Headstock Steering Bearing Kit
Our headstock bearing kit was used to replace the components of the lower and upper triple clamps, as these had more than likely worn a lot over time, especially if they were the originals from 1995. AS3 Performance headstock bearing kits include all necessary seals and bushes to replace worn or damaged components on both the upper and lower triple clamps. They are manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications and these bearings are direct-fit replacements that install without the need for modifications. Front & Rear Master Cylinder Repair Kits
Our front and rear master cylinder repair kits were used to restore and replace all internal components of the front and rear brake master cylinders on the CR 125 R. Like the bearings, these had presumably also worn or perished over 30 years since 1995. AS3 Performance master cylinder repair kits include all components required to replace the internal parts of the brake master cylinder. Each kit is supplied with a rubber boot, spring, seals and washers. All are manufactured to high standards as direct OEM replacements. As these are internal components, like the bearing kits, there are no photographs of these installed. Instead, we can show which components are included in the rebuild kit.

What Other AS3 Performance Parts Were Used On This 1995 CR 125 R?
The original swing arm bearings and seals were completely replaced with our swing arm bearing and seal kit, which fit the 1993-2001 Honda CR 125 R. Our front and rear brake caliper repair kits were also used, in the same vein as the brake master cylinder rebuild kits, replacing all original internal components of the calipers and bringing them back to perfect working order. Finally, our silicone radiator hose clip kit was used to replace the OEM hose clips. We advertise these as the best clips on the market and the customer mentioned these in his feedback specifically, saying, "The AS3 hose clamps are by far the best hose clamps I have ever used"!
