AS3 Performance Weekly Round Up #34

Penultimate Round Of The SuperEnduro World Championship

2024 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, Round 6, Sofia, Bulgaria

This was the first time an FIM SuperEnduro round had been held in Bulgaria. Unfortunately, for our Supported Pro Enduro Rider; Jonny Walker, he was unable to compete at the front this round - he was suffering from food poisoning and only made the last minute decision to take part just before Race 1. Determined not to let Billy Bolt win the Championship with one round to go, Jonny pushed through. The Beta man somehow managed 4th, 4th and 5th in the 3 races to claim 4th overall; a monumental effort considering. He stated, "By far the hardest night of racing I have ever had to do... I got food poisoning and it hit me hard... got some points so looking forward to Newcastle next week". What an effort and we look forward to supporting him in Newcastle on 2nd March!

Billy Bolt Clean Sweeps

Husqvarna's Billy Bolt continued his fine form to claim fastest time in the Superpole, claim the hole shot award, as well as win all 3 races with relative ease. He really put on a show for the Bulgarian crowd. Such is his dominance in the  SuperEnduro Championship, he is 59 points ahead of Walker going into the final round, which means he only needs to win the first race on his home patch in Newcastle to be crowned 2024 World Champion.

SuperEnduro Prestige Class Podium

With Jonny Walker not able to compete for the podium, it was quite tight for the remaining podium places. There were three main contenders in KTM's Mani Lettenbichler, Rieju's Will Hoare and GasGas's Mitch Brightmore. Lettenbichler rode well all evening, apart from a messy 4th place in race 3, to claim P2 overall. The German lies 3rd in the Championship going into the final round, 32 points ahead of Britain's Will Hoare. Hoare managed to claim P3 overall in Sofia and can theoretically claim 3rd overall in the Championship, if he somehow manages to cross the gap to Lettenbichler in Newcastle. AS3 Performance will be at the final round and look forward to watching a good evening of SuperEnduro racing.

2024 British Cross Country Championship

Our Supported Pro Women's Enduro Rider; Nieve Holmes, competed in Round 1 of the British XC Champs at the weekend, organised by Edge Off-Road. It was the first race this season riding her 2024 Sherco SE-F 250 and was, in her own words, "Super impressive and a lot of fun to ride in some challenging conditions". Despite Nieve competing with a virus, after 3 hours of racing, she claimed P2 overall - a fantastic result under the circumstances, congrats to Nieve!

Other Supported Rider News

One of our youngest supported Enduro riders; Tommy Rowan, was also competing in the first round of the 2024 British XC series at the weekend. Tommy was racing in the 65cc class on his Husqvarna TC 65 and being only 8 years old, is up to 2 years younger than most of the riders in that class. On a very technical course for a 65cc bike, consisting of river beds, wooded sections and hill climbs, he managed 4th overall. Great result, well done Tommy! New Foot Pegs for KTM 690, Husqvarna 701 and Gas Gas 700

This week we have added a range of brand new foot pegs to our website for the incredibly popular KTM 690, Husqvarna 701 and Gas Gas 700 dual sports and supermoto bikes.

AS3 Performance Racing Series Aluminium Foot Pegs

Our Racing Series foot pegs are ideal for the dual sports models, the blue foot pegs shown below are designed to fit the Husqvarna 701 Enduro plus the Husqvarna Norden 901 adventure bike. We also offer the same foot pegs in red for the Gas Gas ES 700. The new Racing Series foot pegs for the KTM models are aimed at the KTM 690 Enduro R, but will also fit a range of KTM Adventure bikes, including the KTM 790 Adventure, 890 Adventure and 1290 Super Adventure.

AS3 Supermoto Aluminium Foot Pegs

The new foot pegs are also available for the supermoto models, with replaceable plastic sliders under each foot peg. The KTM supermoto foot pegs will fit the KTM 690 SMC R and the all new KTM 890 SMT. We also stock them in blue for the Husqvarna 701 Supermoto, which was the bike that we used to test and develop these foot pegs on. Additionally, we have them available in red for the Gas Gas SM 700.

Gear Levers, Brake Pedals and Foot Peg Pins

The new foot pegs look great alongside our rear brake and gear lever kits for the KTM 690, Husqvarna 701 and Gas Gas 700, with the orange, blue and red anodised tips matching the anodising on the foot pegs perfectly. We also have sets of foot peg pins and springs for the 690, 700 and 701 bikes if you are looking to replace all of the mounting hardware too.
