This was the third season AS3 Performance has worked with Nieve, supporting her with parts for her Sherco SE-F 300. This season, she competed in the FIM European Enduro Championship as well as representing Great Britain in the ISDE as part of the 3 woman team. Below, we have reviewed Nieve Holme's phenomenal 2022 season.

FIM European Enduro Championship

Nieve's season started off in March at Round 1 of the FIM European Enduro Championship in Southern Italy, where she was expecting sunshine but was greeted with snow! She stated, "This wasn’t too bad for me riding-wise, as I prefer the wet conditions". Nieve described the weekend as being very tough, but she was rewarded with standing on the top step of the podium after winning both days, coming away with the championship lead!

Round 2 of the FIM European Enduro Championship was in Hungary. With a long drive of around 5hrs, conditions were also similar to the first round, with uncharacteristic snow. A very cold and challenging event ended with another great result, 1-1 for 1st overall again and extending her points lead!

For Round 3 of the FIM European Enduro Championship, Nieve headed to Finland. There was not so much driving this time but she spent about 40hrs getting there on a boat! This time there was sunshine and very hot weather, in total contrast to the first 2 rounds. Nieve said, "Scandinavian enduro’s are always very tough by the nature of their terrain being a mixture of sand, mud and lots and lots of stones & rocks! The Scandinavians also like to keep us on the bike for as long as possible, this time 8hrs + a day! This was probably the toughest race of the year for me, but I managed to come away with joint 1st place, after going 1-2". Another very strong weekend for Nieve!

The final round of the FIM European Enduro Championship was in Germany. Heading into this race with a 24 point lead, meant Nieve just needed a strong result on Day 1 to wrap up the championship a day early! After a nervous few days leading up to the event, she managed to do what she needed to do and finished 2nd on the first day. This was enough for Nieve to celebrate her first individual international Championship title! Well done Nieve Holmes!!

International Six Day Enduro (ISDE)

Almost immediately after round 3 of the FIM was the ISDE in France, where Nieve had the honour of representing Team GB in the Women’s Trophy Team for the third time in her career. Nieve describes this event as, "both mentally and physically challenging, 5x 8hr days on a bike in 30+ degrees heat with Day 6 being a Motocross race, just finishing the event is an achievement in itself". Being part of the team that finished 2nd last year, Nieve, Jane Daniels and Rosie Rowett were aiming to go one better at this year's event.

Nieve had a strong result each day in the ISDE and together with her 2 team mates, the Women’s GB trophy Team became World Champions for the first time in the history of the sport! The Men's GB Team also won their event, meaning Team GB celebrated on the podium together as the best Enduro riders in the world!! Nieve stated, "this was an amazing experience and something that I’m very proud of"!

Nieve had an amazing season! All of us at AS3 Performance are incredibly proud of what Nieve has achieved in 2022!

Nieve ran a number of our parts on her Sherco for the 2022 season, including, rear brake disc guard and rear sprocket. She also ran AS3 Performance front brake, rear brake and clutch master cylinder covers.
