How To Prepare Your DE 800 V-Strom For Off-Road And Rally

If you're looking at doing more off-road a light trail riding with your Suzuki DE 800 V-Strom there are many things you can do to better equip you bike for this. At AS3 Performance we offer a range of protection parts for the DE 800 V-Strom, one of the main ones and a part that we would always recommend when riding off-road is our aluminium skid plate. There are many parts that you can add to the Suzuki DE 800 V-Strom to give it more protection in the event of a crash or tip over. One of the main protection parts that we offer and the one that will provide the most protection is a set of our aluminium crash bars. They offer a high level of protection to the motorcycle without compromising the looks and styling of the bike. If you pair them with one of our stainless steel radiator guards your DE 800 V-Strom will have significantly more protection coverage compared to the stock OEM form.

How Can You Make The Suzuki DE 800 V-Strom More Comfortable To Ride?

One way of adjusting the riding position on the Suzuki DE 800 V-Strom to better suit your riding style or to achieve a more comfortable riding position would be to install a set of handlebar risers, this was done by one of our customers that built a rally version of the DE 800 V-Strom that you can read about in our feature here. Another product that we supply are the master cylinder guards, these were originally produced to be a stronger upgrade from the OEM parts but after receiving a review from a customer we found that the thinner profile also prevents the heel of your boots from rubbing on them, small things like things can often make a big difference to how comfortable you feel on the bike.

Do Suzuki Make A Rally Version Of The DE 800 V-Strom?

At the time of writing this there is currently no Rally version available of the DE 800 V-Strom however one of our customers SR75 World Team Suzuki created their own rally model that featured new wheels, exhaust system, handlebars and suspension, plus one of our aluminium skid plates.
