What Is A Billet Aluminium Clutch Cover?

A billet aluminium clutch cover is a stronger alternative to a cast aluminium clutch cover which is often standard on most motocross and enduro bikes. Billet clutch covers are CNC machined from a solid block of aluminium.

What Is A Hard Anodised Clutch Cover?

All AS3 Performance clutch covers are hard anodised. Hard anodising creates a thicker oxide layer than regular anodising which helps resist corrosion and premature wear. We hard anodise our clutch covers are they are exposed to more wear than other parts due to boots constantly rubbing against the face of the cover.

Do You Need A Billet Aluminium Clutch Cover For Enduro?

While a billet aluminium clutch cover is not essential for enduro we highly recommend installing one as the clutch cover can be very exposed to rocks, logs and many other obstacles, especially in hard or extreme enduro. Installing an AS3 Performance billet aluminium clutch cover will help prevent cracks or damage from an impact, allowing you to continue to the end of the race.
